Up to 1024 doors are released at the same time in the event of a fire!

EPC-420io TCP/IP I/O Controller is an intelligent and state-of-the-art device with communication converter and fire alarm-linked door releasing function. It provides 8 sets of fire alarm point detection sensors and 1 set of action output relays, which allow access points to be automatically unlocked and released immediately in the event of a fire, facilitating evacuation and rescue. In addition, EPC-420io addresses the issues of delayed or malfunctioning software-linked door release. The EPC-420io effectively releases the door in time when the fire occurs, thereby meeting the objective of ensuring the safety of residents.

EPC-420io enables RS-485 access control devices to transmit serial signals to TCP/IP network environments. It is a highly stable and reliable converter that bridges the communication gap between RS-485 and TCP/IP Ethernet networks. This I/O controller features fire alarm linkage and provides two RS-485 ports 1 and 2, each of which connects up to 16 standalone and/or multi-door access control devices. In addition, its TCP port allows 32 standalone and/or multi-door access control devices to send door-releasing commands over encrypted communications. Consequently, when EPC-420io is connected to 64 sets of 16-door access control devices, up to 1024 door locks can be released simultaneously in the event of fire.

EPC420io’s more flexible design with RS-485 and TCP/IP connections requires less cabling during installation, reducing maintenance and installation costs. It can store 50 fire alarm linkage records each from TCP/IP and RS-485 connections, for a total of 100 records, making it easy for administrators to monitor and track event records. EPC-420io is a high-performance I/O controller with low installation costs that also reduces damage by unlocking thousands of doors at once in the event of a fire.

Features of EPC-420io TCP/IP I/O Controller

- 32-bit processor with the functions of communication converter and fire alarm-linked door release.

- Convert RS-232/485 communication devices into network devices with TCP connectivity.

- Support TCP Server / Client and UDP Server / Client connection modes.

- communication ports for up to 32 devices, combining performance with ease of cabling.

- Provide 8 fire alarm detection sensors and 1 action output relay. When the fire alarm detection is triggered, the access controller is immediately linked to release the electric lock.

- Fire Alarm Linkages: 16 devices in Port 1, 16 devices in Port 2, 32 devices in TCP Port, door opening commands via encrypted communication, supports single and multiple door controllers.

- Allow to set whether the device will sound an alarm after triggering the linkage and whether the LCD device will display a fire alarm.

- Able to store 50 fire alarm linkage records respectively.

- Set IP and configuration parameters through utility program, stand-alone operation after configuration setup.

- Built in RTC and lithium memory battery, and support NTP time synchronization.
